In a significant announcement, the Kogi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (KG-RAAMP) has invited sealed bids from eligible contractors for the construction and rehabilitation of key road infrastructure across the state. The project is divided into two major components:
Road Maintenance/ Rehabilitation Works involving the backlog maintenance and rehabilitation of 106.36 km of roads, grouped into 5 distinct lots.
– Lot 1 (22.4 km) includes the Eganyi-FFN, Aku-Uruku-Odoba, and Upogoro-Checkpoint roads.
– Lot 2 (20.34 km) covers the Ikoyi-Iyara, Agirigbon-Araromi, Eshe-Bunu Junction-Aherin Bunu, and Ayegunle-Olumode-Daji farm roads.
– Lot 3 (24.58 km) encompasses the Ajekalagu-Ajeguna-Abocho, Odu-Ogboyaga-Odu-Ogegele, Olubojo-Ojogba-Abocho, and Ebeje-Owallah-Ebeje-Abolika roads.
– Lot 4 (22.80 km) includes the Ibado-Akpacha-Ojiaji-Ogodu, Alah-Agala Agoh, and Efekpe-Ogolale roads.
– Lot 5 (16.40 km) covers the Ejule-Okabo and Ajikpele-okochobe-Adumu Junction-Adumu farm roads.
– The second component involves the construction of 66 meters of cross-drainage structures, grouped into 4 lots.
– Lot 1 is for the Illai-Ifeolukotun road, Lot 2 for the Igbagun-Odoegan road, Lot 3 for the Okuha-Obanyi road, and Lot 4 for the Umuchina-Nokwa Amoba road.

This comprehensive infrastructure investment program is expected to significantly improve rural connectivity, facilitate agricultural marketing, and spur economic development in Kogi State.
